Restoratively Driven Implants Failures
Friday, June 8, 2012; 8:00 – 4:30 pm (All Day Program) **ONE TIME ONLY***
Dr. Engen has brought in two world renowned speakers for this year’s Grand Finale’ program!
Dr. Wadhwani and Dr. Pineyro are highly sought after well respected Prosthodontists who will be speaking on the good and the bad of cementation of implant prosthesis. They will provide you with ideas, products and solutions for the problems you face as restorative dentists! Currently, no clinical guidelines for implant cementation procedures exist. There is also little agreement on the type of cement to use, the ideal depth of implant platform placement, or the position of the cement finish line for optimum tissue health. Cement-retained implant restorations are common practice but not without issues. Excess cement in the gingival sulcus may harm the periodontal tissues. Clinical reports have documented the adverse effects of excess cement extruded into the periimplant soft tissues. Excess cement contributed to over 80% of periimplant disease. If cement is inadvertently expressed into the periimplant tissues or left as a cement overhang, it needs to be removed. This program will show you how to prevent bone loss around your restored implants giving your patient the best long term results possible! You won’t want to miss this lecture!
