If you are missing multiple teeth these can often be replaced by multiple dental implants. The process is the same as individual implants except with multiple units. If there are multiple missing posterior (back) teeth the crowns may be splinted together so they are all acting as one solid unit reinforcing each other.

This is a more conservative process than bridges because the adjacent teeth don't need to be cut down. Further, the longer the span the bridges need to reach only increases the stress and wear on the supporting teeth leading to early bridge loss.
